Once they have completed their undergraduate preparation at Berry, many students desire to continue their formal education in graduate programs or in professional programs leading to a career in a health or medical-related field. In general, preparation for entry into programs in the health field does not require that the student obtain a particular academic major while at Berry, and we encourage students to choose a major that interests them most. Most professional schools, however, do require specific courses and competencies for admission, as well as a high score on entry exams, like the MCAT. Therefore, we recommend that the student make the effort early on to find out what courses are required for admission and to work out a suitable schedule in consultation with his/her advisor.
