Berry College has professional and pre-professional programs, including student-designed majors, an honors program, double majors, independent study and undergraduate thesis opportunities. The competitive Richards Scholars program provides funding for several juniors or seniors to pursue independent study, travel and research under the guidance of a faculty member.

How many students are there in a typical core class?
Core classes generally range from 18 to 30 students per class. The average freshman and sophomore classes range from 20 to 25 students in a class. Junior and senior classes may range from fewer than 10 to 20 or 25.
Does Berry grant AP or IB credit to incoming freshmen?
Berry College grants credit to a student who presents minimum acceptable scores on one or more of the Advanced Placement or International Baccalaureate Program examinations of the CEEB in the areas in which Berry has courses.
The Berry College policy for granting IB credit stipulates scores of 5, 6 or 7 on the Higher Level examinations.

What are some features of the academic facilities?
There are 47 major buildings, including 10 residence halls. Almost every classroom on campus contains multimedia equipment for use in teaching and learning. All the student rooms are linked to a campus network, and the student center and library offer wireless connectivity. Five computer labs on campus offer 200 computers for student use.
The library's collection has 275,442 print and microform holdings, more than 2,200 current journal subscriptions and access to more than 179 research databases, including full-text access to more than 34,000 journals and newspapers.
