Foundation for International Education
FIE offers a number of academic internships, either as stand-alone programs or in conjunction with study abroad programs. Students may choose between a 15-week Fall or Spring semester, or shorter 10-week Summer internship programs. Throughout the internship experience, FIE maintains close contact with the student, offering lots of support, including a pre-program orientation, social and cultural activities, and group discussions. Most internships can be awarded academic credit, if approved by an advisor before departure. The student and home institution must discuss the requirements for successful completion.
Interns work in a number of London-based organizations, in fields such as Accounting & Finance, Administration, Art & Heritage, Communications, Computing & IT, Education, Fashion, Film, Hotel, Hospitality & Catering, Journalism, Law, Media, Politics & Government, Public Relations & Advertising, Psychology & Mental Health, Charities & Non-profit organizations, Sales & Marketing, Theatre, and Travel & Tourism.
Students may choose from three student residences, all in Kensington and within walking distance to the FIE study center. All residences are fully equipped, and students may choose private rooms or roommates. Meals are self-catered, and all residences include kitchen facilities.
