Psychology Laboratory

The psychology laboratory is located on the third floor of the Cook Building, in room 313.  Psychology lab workers are available for tutoring, proofreading papers and critiquing APA format, conducting tutorials, assisting with graduate school resources.  The eight computers in the psychology lab are equipped with professional office software and SPSS, a statistical program that is useful for Research Methods projects and any other project that involves statistics. In addition, the lab possesses other resources such as a television, books, and journals.

The lab houses a large collection of information concerning internships and job opportunities within and outside of the Rome/Floyd County area. The lab is a wonderful place to begin searching for graduate schools if you are a psychology major. The lab workers have organized and filed brochures and catalogs from many different graduate schools according to type of program. When coupled with other existing resources such as the Career Development Center, the psychology lab can be instrumental in helping you determine which graduate school or career in psychology is best for you. If you are considering graduate school, the lab has GRE POWERPREP software that can help to prepare you for this examination.
