Visiting Authors
Every year Berry College sponsors readings by visiting authors as part of the Georgia Poetry Circuit. These readings are usually held in either Science Auditorium or Evans Auditorium and are attended by students and faculty alike. Community members are invited and encouraged to attend as well. Each event counts as a Cultural Events Credit toward graduation. For more information about this reading series, click here.

Study Abroad
This past summer, a group of students had the opportunity to travel abroad to England and Ireland for a Studies in British Culture course, taught by Dr. Lara Whelan and Dr. Brian Carroll of the Communications department. This course is scheduled to be offered again during the summer of 2009. Click here for a detailed course description and click here to view photos from the summer 2007 trip.
Plans are also in the works to take a group of creative writing students to Mexico in order to study travel writing as a genre and create non-fictional travel essays of their own. Click here for the detailed course description. You may also contact professor Michael Mejia for more information.
