J. Bradley Adams
BIOGRAPHICAL STATEMENT
Artist J. Bradley Adams focuses on gardens as his primary subject
and realizes this theme through drawing, painting, and photography.
Mr. Adams has shown this work in numerous personal and group exhibitions
throughout the United States, Europe, and the Middle East. Paralleling
his practice as an artist, Mr. Adams has curated a number of exhibitions,
most recently a mail art exhibit between Syrian and American artists
centering on the theme of "3 a.m."
Mr. Adams earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with honors in
painting from the Tyler School of Art, Temple University, Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania. He also obtained a Master of Fine Arts from the Yale
School of Art, Yale University, New Haven, Connecticut with a concentration
in drawing, painting, and printmaking. His career includes teaching
art at the primary, secondary, and university levels in the United
States, Europe and the Middle East. Moreover, he has served as a
Cultural Specialist for the U.S. State Department in Moldova, Syria,
and Bosnia-Herzegovina. Currently, Mr. Adams is an Assistant Professor
of Art, Department of Fine Arts, at Berry College, Mount Berry,
Georgia, where he teaches painting, printmaking, design, and the
history of art. |
