What is your favorite activity to do on the weekend?
I love to get outside and be active as much as I can—paddle boarding, hiking, kayaking, playing Frisbee etc. I also love to go on short weekend trips to places like Chattanooga, TN, and Asheville, NC.
What is the best time to be at Berry?
That’s a tough one for me, but I’d have to say that being at Berry during the fall is the absolute best. The weather is always perfect, the leaves are changing and there’s truly no place like it.
Do you have any tips from your college search?
My #1 tip would be to visit as many schools as possible. It’s so important to get a feel for where you could be potentially going to school. It sounds cliché, but when I visited Berry as a high school senior as soon as I stepped onto campus I knew it was the place for me. Pay attention to the feelings you have while on tour and the interactions you have with people during your campus visit! Find a place that feels like home and excites you!

Thank you for your interest in Berry College! I graduated in May 2014 from Berry with a degree in Exercise Science. After working in Atlanta, GA and Seattle, WA, I returned to Berry to work for the Office of Admissions in December of 2015.

As a senior in high school the idea of going away to college made me nervous. I wanted to find a school where I felt safe, connected with those around me and a place that would help me grow. The moment I stepped onto Berry’s campus, I knew this was the school for me.

My 4 years at Berry truly shaped me into who I am today. The liberal arts curriculum prepared me for the real world upon graduation by providing me with a different way to view the world, problem solve and communicate with others. While at Berry, I held numerous student work jobs including: Student Athletic Trainer and became Student Director of the Sports Medicine Department by my senior year, Public Relations Supervisor for Berry’s Health and Wellness Initiative called A New Year, A New You and served as a Student Orientation Leader for 2 years. I created lifelong friendships with classmates, professors and work supervisors. Berry College became my home away from home after just 4 short years.

There is truly something special about this place and I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to share Berry with you. I encourage you to come visit our campus and experience Berry firsthand!
