Admission Requirements
Graduate school applicants must have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. An applicant is considered for admission after all required credentials are received by the college admissions office. Any prior college work not submitted at the time of application for admission will not be accepted for graduate credit in the future. Failure to report such work may be grounds for dismissal.
Application Procedure
Applicants are to complete and submit a graduate application along with a non-refundable $25 application fee, an official transcript from each college or university attended, two letters of recommendation (preferably from college professors) and appropriate graduate admissions test scores.
Application Deadline (all materials must be submitted by the deadline)
Fall Semester: May 1
Spring Semester: November 1
Summer Semester: March 1
Graduate Transfer Credit
A maximum of three courses or nine semester hours of graduate transfer credit may be applied to the appropriate graduate program, provided
- the credit has been earned at a regionally accredited graduate institution within six years of the date on which the credit is approved
- the courses to be transferred carry a grade of B or better and are approved by the appropriate graduate program director
Financial Aid
Berry College offers limited financial aid assistance to both full-time and part-time graduate students. Graduate students enrolled in at least six semester hours may be eligible for graduate assistantships which can greatly enhance their employability. Graduate assistantship information can be secured through the dean of academic services. Information on federal student loans is available in the financial aid office. The financial aid priority date is April 1. Applications for financial aid received after April 1 will be considered based on the availability of funds.
