Beginner Small Group Fitness Class:

The beginner’s small group fitness class taught by certified personal trainer Blake Phillips is a program that focuses on the fundamentals of fitness. Members of this group will learn the proper form and techniques for various modes of exercise, including both cardiovascular and resistance training. Members of this group will also begin to establish the healthy lifestyle behaviors required for meeting fitness goals and overall better health. This group is great for those who have never worked out, have trouble staying committed to fitness, or are unsure on what to do in the gym.

“I am looking forward to teaching this small group class because I view exercise as something everyone can do, but only some can do correctly and efficiently. It is my goal to set individuals up with the proper foundation of exercise knowledge so that they may confidently, efficiently, and safely meet their health and fitness goals.” Blake Phillips, NSCA-CPT, AASDN-NS

Intermediate Small Group Fitness Class:

The intermediate small group fitness class taught by certified personal trainer Hannah Parker is for students who have had some experience with weight training in the past, but have not been training recently or are not quite comfortable training on their own. This class is for individuals who want to learn more about resistance training and are eager to begin a regular exercise program. In this class, you will go through a variety of types of resistance training to find what’s best for you, and you will learn proper form for each exercise so that you feel comfortable on your own as well. This class will have a fun atmosphere which will aim to encourage participants to push themselves, while at the same time having a great time sharing the experience with the other members of the group.

"I’m excited about teaching the Intermediate small group fitness class because I love teaching different ways for people to meet their fitness and wellness goals. It’s going to be a class of new experiences and some friendly competition to push each other. My goal is to make exercise something enjoyable so that each person will continue their workouts past their time with the group." Hannah Parker, NSCA-CPT, AASDN-NS

Advanced Small Group Fitness Class:

The advanced small group fitness class taught by certified personal trainer Jenn Leahy is a high intensity, advanced, training session which includes interval training, strength training and cardio.  Participants must have some background in resistance training and must be able to keep up with a fast paced tempo.
