Classroom Performance Systems
Classroom performance systems (CPS) or clickers are a classroom instruction tool that can improve student engagement and learning in the classroom. Clickers can improve students' learning by actively engaging students in the learning process.
Instructors can use clickers to:
- Present questions throughout a lecture
- Give students quizzes and tests
- Start a discussion
- Perform group activities
- Take attendance
After each session or semester instructors can generate reports in several formats, inlcuding Microsoft Excel. At this time, grades cannot be automatically imported into the VikingWeb gradebook.
Berry College has chosen to standardize on eInstruction's Classroom Performance System (CPS) that can be integrated with eInstruction’s online courseware to manage student performance in class activities. If you are interested in using clickers in your classroom, we recommend eInstruction, but you may select another system if you prefer. However, if you use another system CIT cannot provide support for your system.
