Job Summary

The Fine Arts Department seeks a full-time staff appointment for a Technical Director and Production Manager of Theatre (12-month renewable contract). Primary responsibilities include managing the theatre facilities, overseeing the scene shop, and managing the technical and production aspects of the program’s productions, including budgeting. This position will supervise several student workers and serve as building manager for the Fine Arts facilities. A background in carpentry and lighting design is preferable, with knowledge of CAD drafting. Basic welding skills a plus. The supervision and mentoring of student creative activities and the program’s productions, leadership in technical areas, and support will be required. The successful candidate will consider collaboration and collegiality to be of the utmost importance. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must have a college degree or commensurate experience with expertise and/or industry experience in the areas of technical direction and production management. A degree in theatre or related field is preferred.
