Job Summary

Memorial Library at Berry College has an opening for creative, highly motivated Access Services Coordinator. The position is non-exempt, 40 hours per week, reporting to the Library Director. Hours are somewhat flexible, but the applicant must have the ability to adjust their schedule to meet the needs of the Library, including working evenings and weekends. The successful candidate will be adept at managing multiple priorities while maintaining focus on customer service. The Access Services Coordinator administers and oversees the library circulation and reserve system; processes notices and reports; resolves complex circulation problems; interprets and documents policies and procedures; trains library professional and support staff in circulation and access services functions. Recruits, schedules, trains, and supervises a large and diverse student work force staffing Memorial Library’s Library Service Desk and auxiliary library service points. Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered). Excellent interpersonal, collaborative, and communication skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently and function effectively in a collegial, teamwork-based environment. Demonstrated commitment to mentoring students and fostering a supportive and inclusive environment in which diversity and fairness are valued and respected. Demonstrated troubleshooting, problem-solving, and research skills. Excellent computer skills and competence with a variety of computer applications including word-processing, spreadsheets, database, online systems, online calendaring, email, etc.
