Berry Trumpet Player to Play at National Competition

Berry College sophomore Leif Atchley will compete in the 2017 National
Trumpet Competition this weekend.
National Trumpet Competition is the largest instrument competition in the world
consisting of several divisions including high school, undergraduate, graduate,
trumpet ensembles and jazz.
from Chickamauga, Ga., is the first Berry student to make it this far in the
competition and was selected among several hundred video submissions. He is one
of 40 soloists who will compete March 23-25 in the live rounds at Metropolitan
State University in Denver.
contestants selected from the semi-finals will go on to the finals where they
will compete for prize money.
