Religious Life Groups
A tremendous amount of the religious vitality at Berry comes from student leaders in religious life groups. Supported by campus ministers and faculty-staff advisors, these groups offer numerous and diverse opportunities for students to grow spiritually.
Baptist Collegiate Ministries
Baptist Collegiate Ministries is a ministry that provides a small family atmosphere. We have casual Monday night devotions and worship as well as free Wednesday lunches provided by local churches that are open to all students. BCM actively tries to endorse service in the Rome community and involvement in the church
networks that it provides. We're open to all individuals and would love to have you!
Buddhist Students Group
The
Berry Buddhist Studies Group is committed to the study of the philosophy and
practice of Buddhist traditions. The group meets weekly, currently on Thursday
nights, to discuss Buddhist philosophy, do yoga and meditate.
Campus Outreach
We
lead investigative Bible Studies throughout campus and provide many
opportunities for each student to grow in their faith in Christ by way of
discipleship and evangelism.
Canterbury Club (Episcopalian)
Canterbury
Club, a campus ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta, welcomes all
Episcopal, ELCA Lutheran, and Anglican students and their friends as well as
students from all faith backgrounds. We seek to engage, equip, and inspire
Christian and spiritual maturity in students, faculty, and staff of Berry
College with the Good News of Jesus Christ. We share a weekly meal together,
talk about issues facing Berry, our country, and the international community,
and end with a brief religious reflection.
Catholic Student Association
The
CSA provides weekly, informal meetings for catholic students to discuss various
aspects of their faith. Mass is celebrated Sunday afternoons at Barnwell
Chapel.
Exaltation (Praise Vocals)
Exaltation
Christian Singers is a small, student-run, worship choir. We are dedicated to
serving and glorifying God through our music.
Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA)
FCA exists as an outlet for athletes to create a
Christ centered community, learn about their faith and be encouraged to spread
their faith on their teams and to their coaches. We also want to reach
non-athletes on campus and simply create a community of believers who are
passionate about sharing Christ with others.
In His Name (Gospel Choir)
In
His Name, a college Gospel choir, was founded in 2004. Started by a group
students, our mission continues to spread God’s Word through ministering by way
of song to the Berry community and other neighboring communities. Meeting a few
times each week, In His Name is a great way for students who are interested in
or love the Gospel genre of music to come together and fellowship.
RISE (Religion in Student Experience)
RISE stands for - Religion In Student Experience
and gathers together anyone who feels he/she doesn’t fit into an established,
structured religion and/or anyone who wants to explore. People of all faiths
are welcome!
