Berry Bees began in January 2014 with 10 hives populated with both domestic and wild bees. Some of the wild bees were collected from the wall of the Possum Trot Church. The first harvest this summer yielded a delicious very light honey which sold out almost immediately. The hives are at two different locations on the Berry College campus near Oak Hill and the Seasons Harvest gardens. The honey is sold to our customers at Farmer’s Markets and other sales that the Berry Student Enterprise program hosts. The bees are kept as naturally as possible. Pesticides and chemicals are avoided at all costs to ensure that our product is as pure as possible. Look for more honey in the summer of 2015!
