Executive Officers
SGA has five elected officers who run the daily operations of the organization. Each position is a paid 20 hours per week responsibility through the Work Opportunity program. SGA officers must keep scheduled office hours and are responsible for all aspects of SGA. Elections for executive offices are normally held in March. Rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors may run for Treasurer, Secretary, and Vice-President of Campus Services; rising juniors and seniors may run for Vice-President of Student Services and President.

Amber Hawter is a senior Sociology and Anthropology major from Frisco, Texas. Amber is involved in many different activities around campus. She is the treasurer for the Sociology and Anthropology club, Vice-President of Campus Outreach, and a member of ODK . Amber loves to play intramurals and has won many championship t-shirts in her three years at Berry. In her free time, Amber loves coffee, hammocking , cleaning, and exploring Berry’s campus. She thinks SGA is a great way to get involved and make a difference on campus.
VICE PRESIDENT OF STUDENT SERVICES
Andrew Hebert is a Senior Anthropology & Sociology Major from Conyers, GA. He became involved in SGA as a way to make a difference in the Berry College community he loves so much. Outside of SGA, Andrew works on Berry's Grounds Crew, which he has been a part of his entire time at Berry. During his free time, Andrew enjoys spending time with his new wife Lynde and their bloodhound Rosie at their house in Armuchee. Upon graduating from Berry, he plans to pursue an advanced degree in Anthropology and then teach at a college or university.
VICE PRESIDENT OF CAMPUS SERVICES
Anthony Thurmond is a sophomore from Statham, Ga, who is a psychology major and hopes to become a psychologist one day. He is involved in many different clubs, including SGA, being the Treasurer of Politics and Law Society, Philosophy Club, College Bowl, and is heavily involved in student ministries such as Mount Berry Church and Campus Outreach. In addition to all of these clubs, he enjoys meeting and hanging out with new friends, playing intramurals or any other pickup sports, and making jokes that always make others laugh. He is looking forward to conquering his sophomore year while serving the students of Berry College at the same time.
Laura Mitchell
is a senior psychology major from Douglasville, Georgia. In her short time at Berry, she has become involved with Student Government, Lambda Sigma, First Year Council, and this year she plans to serve on Marthapalooza Committee. She is also involved with Rome’s Open Door Home and encourages involvement in serving the people of Rome. She loves pottery, watching movies, and Las Palmas! Laura has loved all of her time here at Berry, and she welcomes any questions about Berry, SGA, or club standings.
Lee Parker is a senior accounting and government double major from Covington, Georgia. In addition to his position with SGA, he is also involved with other clubs and organizations around campus including Executive Round Table, Student Enterprises, and the WinShape College Program. Outside of Berry, he enjoys wakeboarding, slalom skiing, and tennis. After graduating from Berry, he plans to attend law school at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California.
