The Northwest Crescent Leadership Alliance is a very selective leadership program open to freshmen, sophomores and juniors of member institutions. The selection process targets 4-6 emerging student leaders from each participating college that demonstrate potential to become leaders through on-and/or off-campus leadership and volunteer activities. The Alliance was formed in 2002 by the Presidents of the six founding colleges and universities for the purpose of identifying and developing emerging student leaders. The program emphasizes the development of ethical, servant leaders. To this end, successful applicants will be expected to participate in all program sessions, as well as work together in selecting and developing a leadership related project that serves either their institution or the community. Successful participants will be presented with the opportunity to participate in a year-long program during the 2008-2009 academic year that will focus on the leadership text, "Exploring Leadership: For College Students Who Want to Make a Difference". This program meets one Friday a month and rotates locations among the six member institutions. |
