Assistant Professor of Management

Manos Kalargiros has been an Assistant Professor of Management in the Campbell School of Business at Berry College since August 2015. He earned his undergraduate degree in International Business from Heriot-Watt University in Ediburgh, U.K., his M.B.A. from University of Nevada, Las Vegas and his Ph.D. in Management from New Mexico State University. He is passionate about stimulating discourse and independent thinking in Berry students using Socratic questioning and emphasizes the importance of preliminary divergent thought before premature closure instigated by deductive reasoning. Since his arrival at Berry College, he has taught courses both at the undergraduate and graduate (M.B.A.) level that include Ethical Issues in Business, Organizational Behavior, Leadership & Change Management, Organizational Creativity, and Strategic Management. His international educational and professional experience is also enabling him this semester to enjoy teaching a course in Cross-Cultural Management. His research interests center on the intrinsic value of human dignity, ethical moral reasoning and cognitive barriers relating thereto.
