Associate Professor of Management

Dr. Hyunsung D. Kang received his Ph.D. in strategic management from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and spent the past several years as a visiting professor at Georgia Tech and an assistant professor of management at Adelphi University. He joined the management faculty of Campbell School of Business at Berry College in 2016. His research interests center primarily on firm strategy and the performance implications of R&D investment decisions. This includes understanding the interrelationship between firm performance and the use of external technology markets through corporate venture capital, licensing, acquisitions, alliances, and internal R&D. Dr. Kang is also the recipient of several teaching and research awards, including Beta Gamma Sigma Professor of the Year, Coller Senior Awards from Tel Aviv University, Israel, and Outstanding Scholar Awards from the Campbell School of Business.
