Assistant Professor of Religion

Jordan Rowan Fannin teaches theology at Berry. She completed her Ph.D. in theology at Baylor University, with special emphasis in theology and literature. In addition to literature (and in particular the work of Flannery O’Connor), her research interests include the significance of place and displacement in the Christian tradition and contemporary moral theology, as well as theology of material culture and the lived environment.
Some of Dr. Rowan Fannin’s courses include: “Introduction to Christian Theology," “Modern Theology,” “Refugees, Exiles, and Pilgrims: Displacement in the Christian Tradition,” “Christian Faith and Feminist Critique,” and “Seminar in Theology and Literature.”
Dr. Rowan Fannin loves being involved in Berry campus life and supports or sponsors several student groups including the Theology Reading Group the Vegetarian and Vegan Interest Group, and In His Name Gospel Choir.
