Assistant Professor of Psychology
Miguel Ampuero, Ph.D., BCBA-D is an Assistant Professor of Psychology and Applied Behavior Analysis at Berry College. He teaches courses in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology and Special Education. Dr. Ampuero received his Ph.D. in Special Education with a focus on Applied Behavior Analysis and Autism from the University of Pittsburgh. His research focuses on the training of special education paraeducators in the implementation of behavioral interventions, as well as the design of language training interventions for students with autism and/or other intellectual disabilities.
In addition, Dr. Ampuero is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst-Doctoral level who has more than 20 years of field experience working with individuals with autism and/or other intellectual disabilities in clinical and educational settings.
Before coming to Berry, he served as a consultant for the Pennsylvania Department of Education - Autism initiative ABA supports, providing consultation, training and technical assistance for classroom teams supporting students with ASD in Pennsylvania public and private schools.
