Welcome to the rich intellectual and kinesthetic study of dance. Here’s your chance to thrive artistically in a stylistically versatile program while cultivating discipline, preparedness, attention to detail, self-awareness and the ability to work in a group.

You’ll find breadth in our program, with areas of study including improvisation, choreography, performance, history of dance and pedagogy. Choose from a variety of movement techniques in distinct areas—ballet, modern, jazz, tap and ballroom. Small classes with professors committed to teaching excellence will work with you to develop your artistic voice in crafting dance works. Different genres of one-hour technique classes will nurture your creativity. 

The Berry College Dance Company, an organization of 20 to 30 dancers, performs several times a year at different venues on campus and at the Rome City Auditorium every spring, with featured dances choreographed by faculty and students.
