Situated on 27,000 acres, the land at Berry College is ripe with natural diversity and provides for our students an outdoor classroom and research laboratory beyond compare. Rare species of plants and animals have been identified as well as various ecosystems, soils, and topography. This unique outdoor laboratory has established Berry College as a world-class destination for studying the environmental sciences.
Berry College’s vast resources are made available not only to Berry faculty and students, but also to external researchers via establishment of the Berry College Field Station, recognized by the Organization of Biological Field Stations.
All outdoor research projects are subject to review and approval by Berry College’s Educational Land Management committee.
