National Scholarships and Fellowships

The Office of National Scholarships and Fellowships advises outstanding students and recent graduates throughout the process of applying for nationally competitive awards that will enable them to pursue their academic and professional goals. Such awards are funded by external institutions and organizations and provide recipients with financial support and other benefits for study, research or teaching in the United States and around the world.

Working closely with faculty and staff, the fellowships office identifies potential candidates and encourages them to maintain high grade point averages, conduct undergraduate research projects, participate in study abroad programs and so on. Once students are ready to apply, the office helps them discover relevant opportunities, compose essays and personal statements, obtain letters of recommendation and prepare for interviews.

Although competition can be intense, Berry students regularly win prestigious fellowships, and many find the application process itself to be a useful and rewarding experience.
