Originally from Pittsburgh, James Davis May now lives in the Georgia mountains where he teaches English and Creative Writing at Young Harris College. His poems have appeared in Ecotone, The Missouri Review, New England ReviewThe New RepublicThe Southern Review, and elsewhere. His first book of poems, Unquiet Things, was published by Louisiana State University Press in 2016 as part of the Goat Island Poetry Series, an imprint founded and edited by the late Claudia Emerson. He is married to the poet Chelsea Rathburn.
