Leadership Team


The Lettie Pate Whitehead Leadership Team consists of a Gate Scholar and several scholars who agree to take on leadership roles outside of their scholarship requirements in order to assist the Director in executing the mission and vision of this scholarship program. These students have responsibilities in several different areas including: communications, event coordination, service, and community building. This year’s leadership team is identified below including their position, major, and their favorite part of being a Lettie Pate Whitehead Scholar. Get to know our leadership team.

Favorite part of being a Whitehead Scholar - “My favorite part of being a Whitehead Scholar is the community and support system that we are constantly building. I love developing meaningful relationships with other women who have similar mindsets, but who also come from different backgrounds. Being surrounded by such amazing individuals inspires me to be the best person I can be. I also love the service experience we have, as we get to take part in the behind-the-scenes work at Bagwell Food Pantry while also seeing the children on the receiving end of the service we are doing.”
