The BRAVE Project

Left Nav

BRAVE (Berry Reducing Assault and Violence through Education) is a project focused on the prevention of sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, and stalking through education and ensuring appropriate support for survivors.

The BRAVE Project at Berry is working to increase prevention efforts on sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, and stalking, as well as improve campus response to such incidents. Through education we hope to inspire students and the campus community to seek and sustain safe and healthy relationships through dynamic, engaging, and ongoing educational efforts. Through our Coordinated Community Response Team we continuously work to streamline response to incidents through reviewing policies and protocols and ensuring they are fair. BRAVE centers survivors and works to ensure that campus community members are able to access resources and services available to them if they or someone they know has experienced sexual assault, dating or domestic violence, or stalking. This project is funded through a federal grant from the Office of Violence against Women received in 2019.

The BRAVE project supports individuals in understanding what resources might be best in their unique situation. We can provide information on how to report to the institution or law enforcement, or connect individuals to confidential resources like advocacy services and counseling before reporting, during the reporting process, or after reporting or without reporting at all.
