Spaces and Resources

The Center for Good Neighbor Culture and Community Engagement includes several dedicated spaces that foster reflection, dialogue, collaboration, and community engagement. These spaces provide opportunities for students, faculty, staff and community partners to connect, learn and contribute to the common good.

Two Distinct Spaces:

the think space

The Think Space

A collaborative hub where students, faculty, staff and community partners co-design community-engaged projects and initiatives.

the gathering space

The Gathering Space

A welcoming area that hosts events, workshops and classes and is open to students when not in use.

The Market

The Think Space also houses The Market, a free food and resource market for Berry students. The Market is open Monday through Sunday from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm, whenever the College is open.

If you have questions, concerns or if you're interested in contributing to The Market, please reach out to the Center for Good Neighbor Culture and Community Engagement.

Community Norms

These spaces and resources serve as a living example of how we strive to value, treat and serve one another across campus. When visiting these spaces and utilizing these resources, we ask all members of our community to uphold the following norms:

  • We commit to learning from one another. We listen with openness, not with assumptions.
  • We assume good intentions but recognize impact and respond to harm with care.
  • We debate ideas, not people.
  • We engage tension with humility and kindness toward others and toward ourselves.
  • We step up and step back, balancing our voices with awareness and intention.
  • We respect others’ points of view, even when we disagree.
  • We prioritize confidentiality: share the lesson, hold the identity.
  • We are charitable listeners. Everyone has something to teach us.
  • We speak from our own experience, values and perspectives.

These norms reflect our commitment to living the values of Good Neighbor Culture in action.
