STEMTeach Participants...

- Are provided with a community of mentors from Berry College Middle School, Rome City Schools, and Floyd County Schools
- Are assigned a master-teacher mentor from one of our local school systems as early as their first year. Apprentices will shadow their mentors several times per year in order to develop a realistic perspective of the teaching profession.
- Invite their mentors to visit campus for Mentor Days.
- Receive support and experiences that encourage them to complete their Berry education major.
- The STEMTeach program offers monthly Zoom discussions for graduates during their first years on the job to talk about their experiences with other new teachers and with Berry STEMTeach faculty. These online discussions provide support and encouragement as teachers face the challenge of a new job. Read more about our support for our graduates here.
