Georgia Teacher of the Year John Tibbetts will speak at 7 p.m. Nov. 1 in the McAllister Auditorium at Berry College.
Tibbetts is an economics teacher at Worth County High School in Sylvester, Ga. He served for 21 years as an officer in the U.S. Army in Afghanistan, Turkey, and Operation Desert Storm. During his talk, Tibbets will speak about a career of service in the military followed by becoming a high school economics teacher. A question and answer session will follow.
The event is free and open to the public.
