The Georgia Music Educators Association selected the Berry Singers, a choral group on campus, to perform recently in Athens, Ga.
The Berry Singers are one of a few college choirs in the state to be chosen to sing at the educators conference. They performed for over 400 choir directors and music educators affiliated with the Georgia Music Educators Association.
The Berry choral group is taught and mentored by Associate Professor of Music and Director of Choral Activities Paul Neal. Their performance highlighted the journey of the choir through the COVID-19 pandemic.
“The program is called “We Will Sing,” Neal said. “It depicts our shared choral experience over the past two years. Each work represents a stage in the journey through COVID, as choirs found ways to sing again.”
