Oak Hill & The Martha Berry Museum is pleased to host another “Family Morning” program to close out the summer break. Designed to engage young learners and their families through interactive, educational experiences, this family-friendly event will take place on Wednesday, July 29, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Offered free of charge and open to all ages, Family Mornings are held several times throughout the year during school breaks and provide an enriching way for families to explore the museum together. July’s program centers on the theme of “Colors at Berry,” encouraging participants to discover the vibrant colors, patterns, and artistic inspirations found throughout the museum and across Berry College’s historic campus.
Families are invited to explore the theme through a variety of hands-on activities, including:
- Participating in a color scavenger hunt throughout The Martha Berry Museum
- Creating your own garden design inspired by the beautiful gardens at Oak Hill
- Exploring the patterns and science of stained glass, inspired by the windows of Frost Chapel
- Watching a live oil painting demonstration by local artist Patricia Eastin
Please note that the Oak Hill home will not be open for tours during this Family Morning program.
The next Family Morning program will take place on October 14 and will be themed “Martha Berry’s Famous Friends.”
