K'Nisha Batie
Interim Director
My name is K’Nisha Batie, and I am a proud mom of twin girls, Jalyn and Kalyn. I began my journey at the South Rome Early Learning Center in 2016 as an Assistant Teacher, became a Lead Teacher in 2021, and now have the honor of serving as the Interim Director. I am also a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, coaching basketball, and traveling.
Tami Wilcox

I am a dedicated and passionate educator with a strong commitment to supporting and guiding children. A veteran teacher with many years’ experience and I have been at the South Rome Early Learning Center since 2019. Outside the classroom, she enjoys her family and the beach!
Whitney McCombs
Lead Teacher
Hi, my name is Whitney McCombs. I’m from Cedartown, Georgia. I have an Associate degree in Arts and a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education. I am looking forward to furthering my education with a Master’s degree. I have over nine years of experience in teaching. I am very passionate about my career and enjoy working with children. When I’m not teaching, I enjoy baking/decorating cakes, which is a hobby that I do outside of work. I also enjoy shopping, spending time with my family, and doing arts and crafts.
Dessa Luttrell
Assistant Teacher
My name is Dessa Luttrell. I have been an assistant teacher at South Rome Early Learning center since 2021. I have been teaching in early learning centers since 2009. I love teaching preschool age children. Outside of teaching I enjoy singing, painting, gardening, and playing video games with my husband.
Caniqua Miller
Assistant Teacher
Caniqua Miller is a dedicated mother and educator serving as a Teacher Assistant. With two years of experience as a substitute teacher through RCS, she is passionate about supporting students’ growth and creating positive classroom environments. In her free time, she enjoys cooking and spending time with her family.
