Please complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to apply for federal student aid such as federal grants, work-study funds and loans. In addition, Berry uses your FAFSA information to determine eligibility for state and institutional aid.
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2026-2027 year is now available to complete by visiting studentaid.gov.
FOR NEW STUDENTS (Fall 26 Freshmen and Transfers)
The FAFSA is now available. We encourage families to complete the FAFSA as early as possible but no later than February 15, 2026, our priority date for need-based aid.
To help you prepare to submit the FAFSA, there are a few steps you can complete to be ready. These include:
- Create your StudentAid.gov account
- Determine who you will list as a Contributor. There is a great resource to help you determine if your parent is a contributor when you fill out the FAFSA.
- Make sure you and your parents/contributor filed your 2024 taxes (these were due for most on April 15, 2025). The FAFSA will ask for your consent to transfer your tax data to your FAFSA form.
- Make a list of any untaxed income or assets, such as a savings account.
- Create a list of the schools you are interested in applying to. Ensure Berry gets a copy of your FAFSA results by entering Berry’s FAFSA code, which is 001554.
FOR Continuing STUDENTS
To renew aid for the 2026 – 27 school year, you may now complete the new FAFSA. If you already created a StudentAid.gov account, you will be able to use the same account when the FAFSA is available.
Be sure to include Berry’s FAFSA code 001554 when you file to ensure we receive your FAFSA results.
