Berry College’s Department of Visual and Performing Arts recently invited the Stiletto Brass Quintet to perform.
The Stiletto Brass Quintet melds popular compositions of the past with energetic and diversified favorites of today. From Baroque to jazz, their concerts reflect the changes in music throughout history.
The U.S.-based group was founded by Amy Gilreath in 2010 and includes masters of brass performers like Velvet Brown playing the tuba, Natalie Mannix on the trombone, Susan Rider on trumpet and Stacie Mickens playing the horn. Their careers have spanned the fields of higher education and orchestral, wind band and brass chamber music performance.
Stiletto Brass has national and international performing experience at concerts like:
- The Festival de Música de Cámera, Aguascalientes, Mexico
- The International Women’s Brass Conference
- The National Trumpet Competition
- The Great American Brass Band Festival
